Atomic Bonds

Two hydrogens
And an oxygen
Together played,
‘Til orbits
Overlapped.

Along came carbon,
Looking to fill
Her outer shell.
In close proximity,
One hydrogen
Nearly drawn away.

Not broken,
Carbon
Went away.

Now Hydrogen
Thinks he sees
Carbon
In every living thing.
